HIGH POINT, N.C., Aug. 3, 2012 – Cara Read, a rising junior at High Point University, is creating her own image of success at French/West/Vaughan public relations firm, one of the nation’s leading independent public relations and brand communications agencies, in Raleigh, N.C.
At the internship, Read’s responsibilities include working with various clients, writing editorial pitches, compiling media lists and writing press releases for magazines and other media outlets.
Read says the internship will help her land a job in the public relations and marketing field or as a publicist. She adds that the internship has already given her valuable insight into the public relations and media world.
“I find that I am applying something I learned from a professor to a task every day,” she says. “HPU has also taught me how to conduct myself in a professional setting and helped make the transition from student to employee seamless.”
