HIGH POINT, N.C., Aug. 24, 2012 – The Office of Student Life at High Point University recently welcomed Joseph Wilkerson, a National Certified Counselor and a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate in North Carolina, as clinical counselor.
In his new position at High Point, Wilkerson will be providing personal counseling, consultation, and crisis intervention to HPU students, a task he looks forward to fulfilling.
“I was privileged to benefit from counselors’ guidance and support during and after college, and I appreciate the positive impact that they can have during a time of rapid change,” says Wilkerson. “I am grateful for the opportunity to work with young people here at HPU, and hope that I can help them make their college years a time of meaningful growth and development.”
Wilkerson received a Bachelor of Arts in economics from the University of North Carolina at Asheville and a Master of Arts in counseling from Wake Forest University.
