HIGH POINT, N.C., April 29, 2013 – The UNC-TV network will broadcast a special program titled, “High Point University Presents: Entrepreneurship and Innovation in North Carolina” that features HPU president Nido Qubein, Gov. Pat McCrory and racing CEO and businessman Richard Childress. The program will air at 10 p.m. on May 2 on the UNC-TV network, and again at 1 p.m. on May 26.
In this special panel discussion program, recorded on the campus of High Point University, Qubein talks about entrepreneurship and innovation with McCrory, Childress and three more CEOs and business leaders: Robert Maricich, CEO of International Market Centers; Rachel Weeks, founder and CEO of School House; and Bryan Young, CEO of BEC. This program was produced in partnership with High Point University and Business North Carolina.
Together, the panelists offer valuable advice about the importance of small businesses in the state, navigating the tax system for small business owners, and the perseverance, preparation and passion required to become a successful entrepreneur.
