HIGH POINT, N.C., July 3, 2013 – Dr. Kevin Ford, director of the Human Biomechanics and Physiology Laboratory and associate professor of physical therapy at High Point University, was recently named chair of the biomechanics interest group at the American College of Sports Medicine.
The group’s mission is to promote biomechanics research in the College through increased participation in its annual meeting and contributions to the various scholarly publications of the College.
“It is an honor to serve as chair of one of the most active and largest interest groups within the American College of Sports Medicine,” says Ford. “I look forward to continuing to promote biomechanics topics within our annual meeting as well as continuing the student awards and networking opportunities.”
The American College of Sports Medicine is based in Indianapolis, Ind., and is the largest sports medicine and exercise science organization in the world.
