HPU Lowers Flags for Patriot Day and Holds Memorial Service

Flags halfstaff 2HIGH POINT, N.C., Sept. 11, 2013 – In recognition of Patriot Day, High Point University will fly all flags at half-staff from sunrise to sunset.

A special worship service will also be held in the Hayworth Chapel at 5:30 p.m. The sermon, titled “How Shall We Remember,” will focus on how we remember the tragedy and how that can help shape who we become. Those attending the service will also have an opportunity to light a candle in remembrance of someone who passed away, or for all of the victims of 9/11.

The service is open to the public.
