HPU to Feature Talents of Music Department with Annual Faculty Recital

01.10.2014

HIGH POINT, N.C., Jan. 10, 2014 – High Point University will feature the extraordinary talents of its music faculty with an evening of music at the annual Faculty Recital.

The event will be held at 7:30 p.m. on Jan. 21 in the Pauline Theatre of the Hayworth Fine Arts Center. It is open to the public; no tickets are required.

Directed by Dr. Marc Foster, chair of the Department of Music and director of Choral Activities at HPU, the recital will feature full-time and adjunct faculty members who will sing and play music from nearly all genres.

“This recital will feature music by each faculty member that speaks to their passions,” Foster says. “Each person will select music that has some significant meaning for them and share those thoughts with the audience before they perform. The performances will enable the audience to experience not just the talent of our faculty, but also that which makes them so passionate about what they do.”
