HPU Welcomes Staunton to Lead IT Team

01.31.2014

HIGH POINT, N.C., Jan. 31, 2014 – The Office of Information Technology at High Point University recently hired Wade Staunton as manager of infrastructure services.

Staunton is responsible for leading the IT team in designing, planning, testing, implementing, monitoring and maintaining the campus-wide network and data services.

As a Piedmont native, Staunton says the enormous growth at HPU has been a source of pride for many in the region, including himself.

“Joining HPU is essentially becoming a part of a highly respected institution,” says Staunton. “I feel very fortunate that the skill set I have cultivated over the years can now be utilized to assist HPU in its continued growth and future goals.”

Staunton says as the use of technology becomes greater, the role of IT on campus will be to serve the growing needs of students, both in and out of the classroom.
