HIGH POINT, N.C., May 8, 2014 – Dr. Craig Curty, director of the Academic Services Center at High Point University, was recently selected as Chair of the North Carolina Association of International Educators (NCAIE).
In this role, Curty will serve as spokesman for the organization and oversee workshops and conferences throughout the state.
He will be responsible for leading and organizing the state NCAIE conference in 2015, and will represent North Carolina at the regional NAFSA: Association of International Educators meeting in Jackson, Miss. NAFSA stands for National Association of Foreign Student Advisers.
“NCAIE is a state organization which supports NAFSA, a national organization dedicated to international education,” says Curty. “I have worked with international students at HPU for a number of years, and consider it an honor to now represent North Carolina at the regional and national level.”
Curty was also recently honored for his involvement with international students by Phi Beta Delta, the Honor Society for International Students.
