HIGH POINT, N.C., June 4, 2014 – Jill Perry was recently hired at High Point University as a business analyst in the office of information technology.
Working in the business solution services unit of IT, Perry is responsible for increasing operational efficiencies within the department. This involves making sure the applications used at HPU on a daily basis – such as information databases, online learning, financial transaction systems and reporting tools – are documented, managed and optimized.
Perry’s role is part of IT’s ongoing effort to deliver solutions that ensure students can follow their academic pursuits, free from interruptions or distractions in the technology and accounts they use for learning and tracking their grades and schedules online.
“Throughout this historic period of growth, students should continue to experience uncompromising quality in the technical tools and services available to them, enabled by the work we do behind-the-scenes in IT,” says Perry.
Perry is an expert in increasing operational efficiencies through analyzing and optimizing processes – skills she plans to use to further the experience for students, faculty and staff at HPU. Having worked previously as an industrial engineer, Perry is excited to take her next career steps at the university.
“I am thrilled to be part of the extraordinary HPU community,” Perry says. “This campus is enchanting, delivering awe and wonder beyond every fountain and through every door.”
Perry has a Bachelor of Science in Engineering in industrial and operations engineering from the University of Michigan.
