With a successful 2014 Commencement Ceremony behind us, recent High Point University graduates are preparing to commence prestigious career paths around the world at Fortune 500 companies, international service programs, public school systems, top-tier law, medical and graduate school programs, and many other esteemed organizations thanks to their journey at HPU. Here’s a glimpse of one extraordinary senior from the Class of 2014:

Name: Elizabeth Johnson

Major: Johnson graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Entrepreneurship.

Post-graduation plans: Johnson accepted a position as an Inside Sales Representative at Citrix Sharefile in Raleigh, N.C.

How HPU helped you get there: HPU has connected me with so many people that care about my future. I received guidance from many successful people during my job search to find the perfect fit for me. But I think the greatest gift from HPU was learning that my degree means something and I will not settle for any job; I will only find the best job for myself.”

Most impactful professor at HPU: “My most impactful professor was Professor Lou Anne Flanders-Stec. I spent loads of time with her from being my academic advisor, to my club advisor, to being my entrepreneurship professor. She is so knowledgeable about entrepreneurship and is always there for me no matter what.”

Most impactful moment at HPU: “My most impactful moment at HPU would probably be when I organized the Global Entrepreneurship Week and seeing everything fall into place and have students interested in what E-Club was doing. It gave me so much pride to see so many talented people interested in entrepreneurship, as well as so many generous volunteers and donations from the community.”
