Blackledge Joins HPU Chemistry Department

HIGH POINT, N.C., Aug. 26, 2014 – High Point University welcomes Dr. Meghan Blackledge as the new assistant professor of chemistry.

Blackledge received her doctorate from Duke University and will work with undergraduate students on research as well as teach undergraduate chemistry courses, including general chemistry, organic chemistry and physical and analytical biochemistry lab.

Blackledge is one of 21 new faculty positions being added by HPU this year.

“Being part of the energy and growth at HPU is very exciting and I’m looking forward to working with the students, faculty and staff,” says Blackledge.

In addition to her work in chemistry, Blackledge is a member of the Junior League, a women’s volunteer organization committed to improving communities and developing the potential of women.
