HIGH POINT, N.C., Sept. 12, 2014 – Dr. Andrew Wommack was recently hired as an assistant professor of chemistry at High Point University.
In addition to his teaching responsibilities, Wommack will assist in the development and communication of the organic chemistry curriculum and undergraduate research program.
Wommack holds a doctorate from Boston College and performed post-doctoral research at MIT. He says he looks forward to providing students with exciting and relevant research.
“I will enable HPU students to be competitive in the job market and professional school placements by pushing them to rigorous standards,” says Wommack. “I intend to develop an undergraduate program to drive the HPU students to new heights.”
Wommack also brings an active collaboration with ALS TDI, a nonprofit biotechnology firm devoted to finding a cure for amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), to HPU.
