HIGH POINT, N.C., Oct. 8, 2014 – Brielle Tyree recently joined the Department of Mathematics at High Point University as an undergraduate math instructor.
A native of Lynchburg, Virginia, Tyree returns to HPU after graduating with a Bachelor of Science in mathematics and a Bachelor of Arts in physics, as well as a Master of Arts in Teaching in secondary mathematics.
Tyree looks forward to providing a challenging but enjoyable experience for students in her math courses.
“I am very excited to be back at HPU, now as a faculty member,” says Tyree. “I had an amazing experience at HPU as a student and was taught and mentored by some extraordinary professors, so I am extremely grateful to be back here.”
While enrolled at HPU, Tyree played on the women’s soccer team for four years, winning two Big South championships and achieving the Big South Women’s Soccer Scholar-Athlete of the Year award in both 2010 and 2011.
