Melvin Joins Admissions Team

HIGH POINT, N.C., Oct. 22, 2014 – High Point University’s Office of Undergraduate Admissions recently hired Brittany Melvin as admissions counselor.

As an admissions counselor, Melvin is responsible for connecting with potential HPU students in 10 states, assisting them during the college application process and acting as an on-site resource while traveling in those territories.

Melvin, a native of Wappingers Falls, New York, is an HPU alumna, earning a Bachelor of Arts in communication and Spanish. While enrolled, she received the Nido R. Qubein School of Communication Outstanding Scholarship and the Thomas E. Scott Award for Outstanding Senior in Foreign Language.

Now, Melvin is thrilled to be returning to her alma mater in a capacity that allows her to draw on her own personal experiences to support and work with potential students and families.

“I am grateful for the opportunity to share with students all of the amazing experiences I had at HPU,” says Melvin. “Being an admissions counselor will allow me to work with students to discover all that HPU has to offer, demonstrating how HPU will positively shape them as both a student and person during their four years and beyond, just as I experienced.”
