HIGH POINT, N.C., Nov. 7, 2014 – The Office of Undergraduate Admissions at High Point University recently welcomed Karen Gerrior-Mariani to its staff as assistant director of regional admissions.
In her position, Gerrior-Mariani works on location in Boston to recruit students from the greater Boston area and North Shore. Being based locally allows Gerrior-Mariani to be easily accessible to students, parents and guidance counselors in the area, making her an invaluable resource for potential students as they explore HPU.
“As a regional representative for HPU, I am excited to educate, market and promote HPU to all students and families in the Boston area,” says Gerrior-Mariani. “HPU is a very special and unique place. It is unlike any other institution, and I am eager to share my enthusiasm with Boston-based students.”
In addition to being passionate about connecting potential students with the university, Gerrior-Mariani is an active volunteer in her community, dedicating her time extensively to college alumni relations, while also serving in her children’s school library and at her church.
Gerrior-Mariani received her Bachelor of Arts in communications from the University of New Hampshire and her Master of Science in management from Lesley University.
