HPU to Host ‘Serial Entrepreneur’ Jim Cathcart

HIGH POINT, N.C., Nov. 5, 2014 – Entrepreneur, motivational speaker and author Jim Cathcart will visit High Point University as part of the Community Enrichment Series. The event will be held at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 19, in the Francis Auditorium of Phillips Hall. It is open to the public; no tickets are required.

Cathcart, who is known as a “serial entrepreneur,” will share his personal strategies for making intentional connections that can expand a person’s success. He will also share insight he has gained during the past year through more than 100 interviews he conducted with self-made millionaires and highly successful entrepreneurs. He has found that personal attributes can have as much impact on someone’s success as the business ideas upon which their enterprise is built.

An award-winning speaker on sales and customer service, Cathcart has been a corporate executive, training director, entrepreneur, psychological researcher, meeting planner and association executive. He has managed people, products and payrolls for more than 25 years. He also has authored dozens of books and video programs, including his book “The Acorn Principle,” which achieved No. 2 national bestseller status as an e-book in 2000.

Parking for the event will be available for community members in the lot behind the Wilson School of Commerce.
