Security Ranked No. 12 in the Nation

HIGH POINT, N.C., Jan. 21, 2015 – The High Point University campus has been commended for safety again.

The security team is ranked 12th in the Education category out of 500 security programs in the nation that were reviewed by SECURITY Magazine.

The rankings were determined by public records, data supplied by participating enterprises and peer reviews.

This is not the first time that HPU has made the list. In 2013, the university was ranked 22nd in the nation.

HPU security’s top priority is to provide students with a safe environment in which to learn. A dedicated team of individuals who care about their students can do just that.

“Thanks to the men and women who make it happen each day, along with a supportive administration, we are grateful to continue to receive national attention for our exemplary program,” says Jeff Karpovich, CPP, CHPA chief of security and transportation at HPU. “Being named one of the nation’s safest campuses is a validation of planning, investing and hard work.”
