HIGH POINT, N.C., Jan. 16, 2015 – High Point University senior John Marsicano was awarded the Kappa Sigma Fraternity’s national H. Howell Taylor Jr. Scholarship-Leadership award, valued at $1,000. Thousands of undergraduates from across the country applied in hopes of receiving one of the 254 awards available.
Marsicano is a Long Island, New York, native and a strategic communication major at HPU. He is the president of the Kappa Sigma chapter on campus.
Kappa Sigma honors elite undergraduate members for continuously impressive academic performance, fulfilling fraternity and campus leadership roles and demonstrating Kappa Sigma ritual proficiency.
