HPU Chamber Ensembles to Perform ‘Kaleidoscope’ Concert

HIGH POINT, N.C., Feb. 17, 2015 – High Point University will offer community members an evening of non-stop musical performances with its Spring Chamber Ensembles Concert, “Kaleidoscope.” The event, part of the university’s Cultural Enrichment Series, will be held at 7:30 p.m. March 3 in the Pauline Theatre of the Hayworth Fine Arts Center. It is free and open to the public; tickets are not required.

This year’s performance marks the third of its kind at HPU and will cover a broad spectrum of musical styles. Groups featured will include the chamber orchestra and flute, brass, string, jazz and percussion ensembles.

“After the success of last year’s ‘Kaleidoscope’ concert, we are excited to again share this unique event with the community,” says Dr. Danny Frye, director of instrumental studies. “Concert goers are certain to hear something they will remember, and the fun will not stop until the final note.”
