New Leadership Appointments at HPU

HIGH POINT, N.C., Feb. 5, 2015 – New leadership appointments have been made at High Point University for Chris Dudley and Steve Potter. Dudley has been named Vice President for Development and Community Relations, and Potter has been named Vice President of Facilities and Auxiliary Operations.

Dudley who graduated from HPU in 1994, will be responsible for leading institutional advancement and alumni and parent programs. Dudley worked at Tar Heel Sports Marketing, before returning to HPU in 1999 as Director of Athletic Development and Marketing for HPU’s NCAA Division I athletic programs. In 2005, he began working in senior administration as Vice President for Community Relations, Vice President for Administration and most recently, Chief of Staff.

“I am blessed to have found my passion and calling at my alma mater,” says Dudley. “I am thrilled to lead the office of institutional advancement as we develop relationships with our alumni, parents, community, friends and students and share with them the joy that comes from investing in this university.”

Potter will be responsible for construction, facilities, campus enhancement, hospitality, security and transportation, student health, mail and warehouse services. He previously served as Vice President of Support Services at University Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio where he led the construction, maintenance, security, nutrition services, material distribution, laundry and service response center departments for the region’s teaching and tertiary medical center. Prior to that, Potter worked for Sodexo Services for over 10 years as General Manager at numerous hospitals in Ohio.
