HIGH POINT, N.C., April 30, 2015 – High Point University senior Taylor Van Horn is one of four women in the country to receive the Tri Sigma Outstanding Member of the Region Award. The award is presented to a collegian that excels on campus, in her community and as a leader of Tri Sigma Sorority.
“Being a part of Greek life at High Point has been such a rewarding experience,” says Van Horn. “It means so much to be recognized by nationals for my leadership in Tri Sigma and in the Greek community.”
Van Horn has served as a president and vice president of operations for HPU’s Panhellenic Council, an organization that oversees the six sororities on campus. She has also served as a senator for Student Government Association and Panhellenic Delegate for Tri Sigma’s executive council, working as a liaison between her sorority and Panhellenic Council. At HPU’s Honors Day ceremony, she was awarded Panhellenic Council member of the year.
“The inspiring environment that High Point University provides fosters great leaders,” says Van Horn. “This university has encouraged me to be involved and give back to my community.”
Van Horn will graduate in May with a B.S.B.A. in business administration.
