HIGH POINT, N.C., April 3, 2015 – High Point University recently hired alumna Brandy Warwick as event planner for the university.
In this position, Warwick is responsible for overseeing and planning the Community Enrichment Series at HPU. The Community Enrichment Series features dozens of cultural events, speakers and performances on the HPU campus that are open to the public throughout each semester.
Warwick, a High Point native, graduated from High Point University in 2010 with a bachelor’s degree in political science and minor in psychology. After graduation, she began her career as staff assistant for Sen. Kay Hagan’s office. Within the next few years, she went on to become assistant to the state director and later, state intern director for the senator.
Now, she brings her knowledge and experience in planning large scale events to her new position in which she will coordinate programming that adds to the inspiring environment at HPU.
“I am thrilled to be back working with the incredible staff and students at High Point University,” says Warwick. “I am proud to say High Point University is my alma mater, and I look forward to contributing to the extraordinary experience that HPU provides.”
