HIGH POINT, N.C., May 15, 2015 – High Point University is lowering its flags to half-staff today in honor of Peace Officers Memorial Day.
In 2013, President Barack Obama declared May 15 as Peace Officers Memorial Day to honor the local, state and federal peace officers who have died in the line of duty.
The flags will be flown at half-staff from sunrise to sunset.
