Here’s a glimpse of one extraordinary senior from the Class of 2015:
Name: Will Chambers
Hometown: Charlotte, North Carolina
Major: Chambers graduated with a B.S.B.A. in Business Administration on May 9.
Post-graduation plans: Chambers accepted a position as a Human Resource Business Partner at Jacobsen, a Textron company, in Charlotte, North Carolina. Chambers was offered the full-time position after interning with them last summer. In his position, Chambers will be responsible for recruiting to ensure acquisition of the best talent to deliver business results, market the company talent brand, and deliver improved processes and outcomes. Additionally, this role provides data analytics support for the strategic workforce plan.
How HPU helped you get there: “HPU’s culture and standard of excellence has helped me get to where I am today. From in the classroom to encouraging me to get involved on campus, HPU has stretched me and challenged me to seize the opportunities that come my way.“
Most impactful mentor at HPU: “Professor Barbara Prestwood has been one of the most impactful professors at HPU for me. In her Advanced Leadership/Team Development course she taught me what it looks like to lead in all the areas of my life, as well as provided practical advice for life after school through her own life experience.”
Most impactful moment at HPU: “My most impactful moments have been the opportunities I have had to be a part of and serve with the organization Elevation Extension at HPU.”
Advice for underclassmen: “Take advantage of all that have around you. HPU has so many great people and resources to help you become the best you can be in your four years here. And don’t take any of it for granted because it goes by so quickly.”
