HIGH POINT, N.C., June 5, 2015 – Experienced public relations professor Dr. Shannon Campbell joined the Nido R. Qubein School of Communication at High Point University as chair of journalism and strategic communication. She also serves as an assistant professor of communication.
Campbell oversees the journalism and strategic communication department and teaches classes such as a senior seminar in public relations.
She has previously served as a professor in well-respected public relations programs at the University of Florida, the University of Miami and the University of Southern California. Having experience in public affairs management and research and development consultation, Campbell brings to the position experience as both a teacher and professional communicator.

Campbell received a Bachelor of Science from Missouri State University, a Master of Arts from the University of Southern Illinois and her doctorate from the University of Texas at Austin.
