HIGH POINT, N.C., July 30, 2015 – High Point University recently hired Carla Parrish in the Office of Information Technology as a training specialist.
Parrish organizes and facilitates training sessions on the university’s newest technologies, so that students and faculty can use them to enhance their classroom experiences.
Parrish previously worked at Winston-Salem State University as a program specialist and at Western Carolina University in administrative support. She looks forward to using her knowledge and experience at HPU.
“Through training and learning opportunities, I will be able to connect with faculty, staff and students across the HPU campus,” says Parrish. “I want to open students’ minds to new technology that can assist them not only at HPU but also as they move forward in their chosen careers.”
Parrish received her Bachelor of Science in communication with a concentration in training and development as well as her Master of Science in human resources from Western Carolina University. She also received her Master of Arts in educational media with a concentration in new media and global education from Appalachian State University.
