HIGH POINT, N.C., July 29, 2015 – High Point University rising senior Stephanie Bellisario is exploring the world of banking through her summer internship at Fifth Third Bank in Cincinnati, Ohio.
Bellisario, originally from Wayne, Pennsylvania, works as the commercial leadership program intern for Fifth Third Bank.
Her responsibilities include managing the commercial project portfolio by verifying the number of projects currently in process and ensuring data is entered correctly, checking the status of specific projects and ensuring they are progressing on time toward their respective due dates, and updating Fifth Third executives on the status of various projects within the commercial bank.
Bellisario credits her success at Fifth Third Bank to HPU.
“I constantly find myself leveraging not only the curriculum I have learned in class, but also the various pieces of advice given to me by my professors,” says Bellisario. “HPU has truly put me in a position to succeed, and I continue to appreciate the education I am receiving.”
With a major in business administration and minors in finance and marketing, Bellisario plans to pursue a career in financial or commercial banking following graduation in 2016.
“I want to find a company that’s business culture is accepting, open for new opinions, a place to succeed and make a statement,” says Bellisario. “I want to find a job where I can learn but also show my skills and abilities. Banking has the analytical aspect to what I want in a job and has the right career path for me.”
