HIGH POINT, N.C., Aug. 4, 2015 – High Point University recently hired George Terry as assistant vice president of admissions operations and technology.
Terry brings his expertise in operations and business processes to undergraduate admissions, where he will manage the cutting-edge technology and processes that assist the university in enrolling new students.
“I oversee a team of individuals dedicated to providing students and families with top-notch service and communication throughout the admissions process,” Terry says. “I will work closely with the recruitment and enrollment teams to ensure that we are fulfilling HPU’s dedication to providing students with an extraordinary education.”
Terry recently served in a similar role at Long Island University – Brooklyn. He has also worked with university financial aid and college readiness programs. He is experienced in the incorporation of a variety of information systems and data analysis tools used in higher education. During his tenure at LIU Brooklyn, he also oversaw transfer admissions and worked closely with international and graduate student populations.
“Since my arrival, the HPU community has embraced me like a member of the family. I appreciate HPU’s dedication to student service and development, both inside and outside of the classroom,” Terry says. “It is truly rewarding to take part in the amazing growth at HPU, and I look forward to contributing my expertise to further our development well into the future.”
Terry holds a Bachelor of Science in marketing from Southern Illinois University – Carbondale. He also holds a Master of Science in education with a concentration in enrollment management and an advanced certificate in student development from the University of Miami.
