HIGH POINT, N.C., Nov. 19, 2015 – For the third year in a row, High Point University made Security Magazine’s list of top campus security programs. HPU is ranked 14th in the nation and is one of only two universities in North Carolina to make the list, along with Duke University.016-22 - 57-59 - SEC 500 - Feat.indd

HPU’s security team is ranked among 500 security programs reviewed across 18 different sectors, including education. The rankings are determined by public records, data supplied by participating enterprises and peer reviews.

The university previously made Security Magazine’s national rankings in 2013 and 2014. HPU’s security also was ranked in the top 25 by the National Campus Safety Summit this year.

“The men and women in our security department provide outstanding service to the campus community. This acclaim is a tribute to their dedication and the university’s support,” says Jeff Karpovich, CPP, CHPA, chief of security and transportation. “Being named one of the top departments in the country is a validation of seven years of planning, investing and hard work.”
