HIGH POINT, N.C., Dec. 7, 2015 – High Point University’s student employment program manager Whitney Neal recently traveled to San Francisco, California to attend the 2015 National Student Employment Association Conference (NSEAC). At the conference, Neal spoke to several hundred student employment program managers from universities across the country.
At NSEAC, professionals can learn from and train with administrators from all over the country. The conference also provides training to these professionals with a wide range of workshops that will help them in their student employment departments at their own universities.
Neal’s presentation informed the conference attendees about the HPU Student Employment Program (SEP). Her goal was to educate other student employment professionals on how they can incorporate HPU SEP strategies into their own programs.
“My motive is to change other’s general perceptions of student employment and to show people that student employees take on meaningful tasks while growing their professional career goals,” said Neal. “Our goal is to help transition our participants from student employees to stellar employees.”
