HIGH POINT, N.C., Jan. 22, 2016 – High Point University hired Amy Chadwell as the Smith Library media and digital services librarian.
Chadwell oversees the media lab at Smith Library and helps students and faculty with creating multimedia presentations.
“I’m excited to work with HPU students on creative assignments involving emerging technology,” says Chadwell. “It is thrilling to get to focus on the areas of librarianship that I love.”
Chadwell previously worked at a public library for teens, children and adults. She also served as a librarian at the Wanek Center Library from 2009 to 2012. In addition to her work, Chadwell is involved in the community and serves as a vice president of the High Point Community Theatre board.
She earned her Bachelor of Arts in English and her Master of Library and Information Studies from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.
