HIGH POINT, N.C., Feb. 25, 2016 – Kim Blair recently joined High Point University as director of alumni engagement.
Blair will manage all alumni relations, implementing services and activities that engage alumni and encourage participation in the life of the university.
Blair grew up in Thomasville and graduated from HPU in 1984 with a degree in managerial psychology. She has led a successful career in the business world, spending most of her time in Northern Virginia, where she held positions in human resources and community center management, and owned a fitness and wellness services company. Most recently, she served as director of business development in the Southeast for NFC Amenity Management in Atlanta.
She says that HPU prepared her to become a successful business executive and entrepreneur, and she hopes her work will raise awareness of the opportunities HPU provides for its students and help the university grow.
“I am thrilled to have the opportunity to return to a community where I have deeply rooted connections and family ties,” Blair says. “I have followed High Point University’s tremendous growth and development under the leadership of Dr. Qubein and am absolutely amazed at the wonderful programs and experiences HPU offers. I am totally committed to the university’s mission of providing an extraordinary education for its students while preparing them to lead lives of significance.”
