Class of 2016 Outcomes: Mark Ganassa Recruits in DC Area

It may be early in the semester, but Commencement will be here before we know it. Many High Point University seniors are preparing to commence prestigious career paths around the world at Fortune 500 companies, international service programs, public school systems, top-tier law, medical and graduate school programs, and many other esteemed organizations thanks to their journey at HPU. Here’s a glimpse of one extraordinary senior from the Class of 2016:

Name: Mark Ganassa

Hometown: Darnestown, Maryland

Major: Ganassa will graduate with a B.S.B.A. in Business Administration, with a minor in Economics, on May 7.

Post-graduation plans: Ganassa accepted a position as an associate recruiter for Signature Consultants, an IT staffing firm in Reston, Virginia.

How HPU helped you get there: “High Point has provided me with a beautiful and inspiring place to grow throughout the last four years. I will always be grateful for the many meaningful relationships and endless memories I have made throughout my time here. I reached out to Bridget Holcombe of Career and Professional Development after she came and spoke to my class my junior year. We met a few times and she helped me modify and update my resume.”

Most impactful mentor at HPU: “Randy Moser was my most impactful professor at High Point. He prepares his students for important real-life situations in the business world, engages each student during class, and does all he can to ensure his students graduate with job offers after college.

Most impactful moment at HPU: “Joining the Kappa Sigma fraternity my freshman year. Being a part of the Greek community here at HPU helped me to meet a ton of people and allowed me to be more involved around campus.”

Advice for underclassmen: “Enjoy every moment of your college experience and don’t stress over the small things.”
