Limited Tickets Available for Steve Wozniak Event

HIGH POINT, N.C., March 16, 2016 – As part of his visit to campus on March 23, Steve Wozniak will take part in an interactive Q&A discussion at 2 p.m. in High Point University’s Hayworth Fine Arts Center. A limited number of complimentary tickets are available for the general public by contacting 336-841-9209 or [email protected].

Groups of students representing different majors across campus will join HPU President Nido Qubein, who will moderate, and Wozniak on stage to discuss a variety of issues in today’s global marketplace.

Wozniak, who served as HPU’s 2013 Commencement speaker, is returning to campus to serve as the university’s Innovator in Residence. The new role connects Wozniak with students to provide insight on innovative projects, business ideas and more. Computer science and physics majors will also take part in a robotics workshop with Wozniak.

Since his first visit to HPU in 2013, Wozniak has been an HPU advocate, and that led him to join the university in a unique way.

“I talk about HPU everywhere I go,” Wozniak says. “Their focus on student development is second to none. And their leadership is dedicated to the personal and professional development of their students. How they deliver it is truly innovative.”
