HIGH POINT, N.C., April 18, 2016 – High Point University’s Zeta Tau Alpha sorority raised $25,500 for breast cancer education and awareness at the sorority’s 11th annual Crown Classic Golf Tournament.
Teams of golfers made up of community members, HPU faculty and students, competed to raise money for the important cause. The tournament was held on April 16 at the Holly Ridge Golf Links in Archdale.
“Our annual Crown Classic Golf Tournament has always been a great success thanks to the students of High Point University, our close friends and family members, and the local High Point community,” said Lexi Lorenz, director of philanthropy for Zeta Tau Alpha. “I feel so honored to be a part of an organization that was able to raise and donate so much money for our philanthropy – breast cancer education and awareness.”
The tournament included complimentary gifts and lunch for the players. The sorority also collected contributions from individuals who sponsored a hole, purchased a sign in memory/honor of loved ones or donated to the cause.

Zeta Tau Alpha holds numerous events throughout the year to raise money for breast cancer education and awareness. In addition to the annual golf tournament, the sorority also hosts Seeds for Hope, Big Man on Campus and Think Pink week.
