HIGH POINT, N.C., June 3, 2016 – High Point University welcomed three new staff members during the month of May. They are as follows:

Audrey Westbrook joined the Physical Therapy department as a biomechanics research engineer. She works in the Human Biomechanics and Physiology Lab, where she assists with data collection and processing. Westbrook previously worked at the Center for the Intrepid in San Antonio, Texas, where she researched physical rehabilitation for wounded service members. She holds a Bachelor of Science in both Biomedical Engineering and Mechanical Engineering, as well as a Master of Science in Biomedical Engineering. Westbrook’s position is new to the university.

Ray Chidester joined the Office of Information Technology as a systems specialist. In this role, he supports and maintains the main computer system used by students and faculty on campus. He has worked with IT support for two other colleges in the past five years and has been a database and server administrator for more than 20 years.

Lon Ratcliff joined the Office of Information Technology as manager of enterprise application services. He leads a team of system specialists, web developers and web specialists who are responsible for supporting most of the university’s IT systems. Ratcliff worked with IBM for 36 years. He has also worked with World Relief in High Point, helping resettle refugees from Africa, Southeast Asia and the Middle East. He holds a Bachelor of Science in administration of justice as well as numerous IT certifications.
