HIGH POINT, N.C., June 1, 2016 – High Point University has been named to the 2016-17 Colleges of Distinction list, a unique college guide that honors institutions with an innovative, teacher-centered undergraduate education and a strong record of preparing graduates for real-world success. This is the sixth consecutive year HPU has been included on the list.
The Colleges of Distinction list is based upon exemplary commitment to four distinctions: engaged students, great teaching, vibrant communities and successful outcomes, all of which reflect HPU’s values-based, holistic education model. HPU is one of only nine universities in North Carolina to be named to the list.
“High Point University continues to foster an innovative learning environment focused on preparing students not for the world as it is, but for the world as it will be,” says Dr. Nido Qubein, HPU president. “We are appreciative for the recognition our holistic approach receives, but also for the HPU families, alumni and friends who continuously support HPU and its core values.”
