Presidential Campaign Visit

Dear HPU family,

2016 presidential candidate Donald Trump will hold an event on campus at the Millis Center on Tuesday, Sept. 20 at noon.

HPU has welcomed a long list of influential speakers to campus, including former United States President Bill Clinton, who visited HPU to campaign for Hillary Clinton in the 2008 Democratic presidential primary. President George W. Bush also visited campus to discuss health care in 2002.

Already this year, HPU students have begun working for both Democratic and Republican campaigns, conducted public opinion surveys through the High Point University Survey Research Center and HPU Poll, hosted debate watch parties and will continue activities focused on civic engagement throughout the election.

This event is being facilitated by the Trump campaign. Those who would like to attend can find additional info through the Trump campaign website.

All attendees of the event will be required to park at Oak Hollow Mall and be shuttled directly to the Millis Center.

The HPU security team is working in conjunction with other security officials to ensure a safe event.
