HPU Announces New Hires; April 12, 2017

HIGH POINT, N.C., April 12, 2017 – High Point University welcomed four new staff members during the month of March. They are as follows:

 

Jenny Sweitzer joins the Office of Academic Services as a learning excellence specialist. Sweitzer provides individualized academic support to students in the Learning Excellence Program. She meets with students once a week to work on academic-related skills such as organization, time-management and test-taking strategies. Sweitzer has experience working in new student programs, teaching first-year experience courses and serving as an academic advisor. She holds bachelor’s degrees in psychology and speech, language and hearing sciences and a Master of Education in college student personnel.

 

 

 

Zak Campbell joins the Office of Information Technology as a computing support analyst. He troubleshoots technical issues for the technology students and faculty use on campus. He comes to HPU with experience in technology and customer service and is currently pursuing an IT degree.

 

 

 

 

Lee Adams joins the Office of Communications as university photographer. He captures photos of the university’s people and major events, which are featured in HPU’s magazine, news stories, website and other publications. Adams’ background is in news and university photography. Most recently, he was a visual communications specialist for the College of Agriculture and Environmental Sciences at North Carolina A&T State University. He has a bachelor’s degree in photojournalism.

 

 

 

Chane’l Ware joins the Office of Information Technology as a help desk associate. Ware provides computing services and support to students, faculty and staff. Prior to HPU, she worked on a project management team for Toyota Motor North America. She holds a bachelor’s degree in computer information systems and a master’s degree in information technology.
