HPU Announces New Hires

HIGH POINT, N.C., June 2, 2017 – High Point University welcomed five new faculty and staff members during the month of May. They are as follows:

Dr. James Pampush joined the Congdon School of Health Sciences as an assistant professor of exercise science. Pampush teaches anatomy courses to undergraduate students and graduate students in the physician assistant and athletic training programs. Prior to joining HPU, Pampush worked as a postdoctoral teaching and research scholar in the evolutionary anthropology department at Duke University. His orofacial evolution research focusing on why humans have chins has been featured by news outlets including The Atlantic, NPR and the BBC. Pampush earned bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral degrees in anthropology from The Ohio State University, the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and the University of Florida.

 

Rachel Han joined the community relations and campus events offices as an event planner. She assists with events across campus and oversees the planning and coordination of the Community Enrichment Series, a selection of cultural events, speakers and performances open to the public throughout each semester. Her previous experience includes planning weddings and corporate events as well as working as an administrative assistant and sales coordinator for an emerging wedding venue. She has a bachelor’s degree in hospitality and tourism management.

 

Frank Fratoni joined the Office of Information Technology as a business analyst. Fratoni analyzes existing systems and business processes, identifies improvement strategies and provides project management services. He is a member of the Business Solution Services team, which helps ensure that HPU students have access to the resources and information they need. He comes to HPU with 18 years of experience as a system analyst. Fratoni has a bachelor’s degree in economics and business administration and a Six Sigma Green Belt.

 

Stephanie Brantley joined the Office of Information Technology as a training specialist. Brantley works on a team that plans and facilitates technology training and serves as a resource for faculty, staff and students with questions about the university’s technology offerings. Before joining HPU, Brantley was an educational technology specialist for Duke University’s School of Nursing. She also worked with IntraHealth International, providing training and support for staff in offices around the world, predominantly in Central America and Africa. She has a bachelor’s degree in American Sign Language and deaf studies and a master’s degree in library science.

 

Keisha Huffman joined the Office of Institutional Advancement as a data analyst. She maintains and manages data used by the office for reporting and mailings. Her work enables the office to stay engaged with HPU alumni, families and friends. Huffman has more than 10 years of data management experience, specifically focusing on data analysis, integration and manipulation. She has certifications in various database management and report writing tools.
