HPU Senior Gains Sales Experience Through Internship with Panasonic

HIGH POINT, N.C., Sept. 18, 2017 – High Point University senior Brady Brehm pitched new technology to collegiate and professional sports teams during his summer internship with Panasonic.

While working for Panasonic Enterprise Solutions Company in Denver, the Littleton, Colorado, native worked with a team to educate and persuade athletic directors and stadium owners to purchase sensory solutions, such as LED and center-hung boards, high-speed cameras and Wi-Fi solutions. This experience took Brehm out of the office to conferences and trade shows in Dallas and Atlanta. He also led a media shoot at Colorado State’s football home opening game.

He used lessons from his marketing major and sales minor at HPU to provide his team with database analysis and segmentation and created content for email campaigns, e-books and case studies.

“Being a part of such a large, well-known company has helped me pave a path for my future and has fortified what I would like to do with my career,” Brehm says.

Brehm credits his sales classes at HPU for preparing him for the internship and helping him land the opportunity.

“Everything I learned in my professional selling class was applicable in the real world, and every day I took something new from class to apply in my professional life,” he says.

The Office of Career and Professional Development supported him in his internship search by helping him craft his resume and LinkedIn profile to stand out. When it came to advice for pursuing an internship in sales, Brehm turned to his professors.

“Professor Larry Quinn worked with me after class hours and always had my best interest at heart,” Brehm says. “He cared about me as a student and helped me find a job where I could really succeed.”
