HPU Announces New Hires

HIGH POINT, N.C., March 1, 2019 – High Point University welcomed six new staff members in February. They are as follows:

Michelle Kirk joined the Office of the University Registrar at HPU as a transcript coordinator. She provides student services such as transcript release requests, registration, enrollment verifications, front desk reception services and FERPA database updates. She previously served in Davidson County Schools for 30 years, working as an administrative assistant and registrar assistant. Kirk is a notary public and is currently pursuing a degree in human resource management.

 

 

Jennie Anthony joined the Office of Institutional Advancement at HPU as a data analyst. She is responsible for data maintenance and extraction, including designing queries and exports, as well as maintaining contact information, mailing lists and giving records. Previously, she worked as a development analyst and territory development coordinator. She also has nonprofit experience, having served as grant/development coordinator at the YMCA of Northwest North Carolina for nearly 10 years. Anthony has a bachelor’s degree in biology and English and a master’s degree in public administration.

 

Sierra Rector joined the Office of Institutional Advancement at HPU as coordinator of annual giving. She manages HPU’s Phonathon and coordinates annual giving throughout the year. She also develops programs that help students understand the importance of giving. Rector became interested in fundraising as a student, when she served as a caller and then managed her university’s call center for three years. She has a bachelor’s degree in psychology.

 

 

Wendy Holland joined the Office of Human Resources at HPU as a human resources business partner for staff. She assists with hiring, orienting new employees and general employment inquiries. She began her career working in information technology before transitioning to human resources, assisting with the creation of policies, procedures and business process improvements. Holland has a bachelor’s degree in information systems and operations management and is currently pursuing Professional Human Resources certification.

 

 

Jodeci Paige joined the Office of Accessibility Resources and Services at HPU as an administrative assistant. She provides general support for the office, including receiving visitors, scheduling appointments and maintaining daily operations. She assists students served by the office, supports the director and staff, and works with other departments on campus. Paige previously worked in the Health Information Management Department of FirstHealth of the Carolinas as a release of information customer service representative. She has a bachelor’s degree in business administration, health care management.

 

 

Breanna McKnight joined the Office of Student Life at HPU as a resident director. She works with a team of resident assistants and ensures all students in her residential area have a positive and safe campus living experience, while supporting their academic, cultural and spiritual development. Previously, she worked as a resident assistant and then as an academic coach and program coordinator. McKnight received her bachelor’s degree in health care administration and her master’s degree in management and leadership.
