Debra Schulze and Eric Bennett of Naples, Florida, have given a generous gift to honor their son, Austin Schulze.
HIGH POINT, N.C., July 16, 2019 – High Point University received a significant gift from Debra Schulze and Eric Bennett to honor their son, Austin Schulze. HPU will honor the family’s generosity by naming the Schulze Global Conference Room in Cottrell Hall.
“HPU is tremendously grateful for our families and supporters who share our values and mission,” says HPU President Nido Qubein. “At HPU, our inspiring environment prepares our students for the world as it is going to be. We are able to achieve that thanks to the generous support from families like the Schulze’s.”
Austin is a 2019 HPU graduate. While attending HPU, he was taught by professors who showed talent, positivity and willingness to help students succeed in the classroom. Austin majored in business administration and minored in finance and sports management. He graduated a semester early, received the honor of Magna Cum Laude and was a member of Beta Theta Pi.
“HPU is a university that clearly strives for excellence in helping each student achieve the opportunity to be extraordinary in whatever degree or career they choose to pursue,” says Debra. “It was an easy choice for us to provide a gift to HPU because it would help students continue their life’s pursuits to be the best in all they strive to accomplish.”
