HPU to Host New Christmas Drive for the Community

High Point University welcomed nearly 30,000 visitors to this year’s Community Christmas celebration. HPU welcomes the community back to campus for a Christmas Drive happening from Dec. 18 through Dec. 23.

HIGH POINT, N.C., Dec. 16, 2019 – High Point University is welcoming community members to take part in a new Christmas Drive event happening Wednesday, Dec. 18 through Monday, Dec. 23 from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Guests are invited to drive through campus to enjoy views of the more than 100,000 Christmas lights, a candy cane DNA structure in Congdon Hall, a life-size Nativity scene, 138 nutcrackers and soldiers and other holiday decorations.

Visitors should enter campus at the Centennial Avenue and International Drive intersection and will exit campus at the intersection of University Parkway and Panther Drive.

“Christmas at High Point’s University is a very special time,” says HPU President Nido Qubein. “We welcomed nearly 30,000 visitors at this year’s Community Christmas celebration to take part in joy and fellowship. We want to extend another invitation for our community to come and enjoy the beauty of HPU’s campus with their families.”

For the safety and security of all guests, HPU asks that everyone remain in their vehicles.
