Major: Biology with a minor in education studies
Internship: Morrison leads conservation programs at Walt Disney World’s Wilderness Explorer program in Orlando, Florida. She helps guests learn more about ecology, conservation issues and sustainability. She is also developing conservation education pop-up stations throughout Animal Kingdom.
How HPU helped you get there: “HPU allowed me to build relationships with amazing professors and advisors that invested time and energy to help me discover my niche career path and future goals beyond what I could achieve.”
Most impactful mentor at HPU: “Dr. Allie Blosser, assistant professor of education studies and program coordinator, and Dr. Sarah Vess, associate dean of the Stout School of Education and associate professor of educator preparation, are my most impactful mentors and helped me grow as a future educator.”
What has your internship experience been like, and how is it preparing you for your future?: “Since starting my internship, I’ve taught a very diverse audience about animal science, the environment and conservation. This is allowing me to develop confidence in my teaching and interpreting abilities that will carry over into any science education career I will pursue in the future.”
