Lillian Watson, assistant professor of business communications and business law director of the Business Communications Program, was one of my most impactful mentors. Her business law class helped me decide that I wanted to pursue a career in law.”
Most impactful moment at HPU:
“Being able to continue my studies in person when most college campuses in the U.S. transitioned to online learning was the biggest blessing during my time at HPU. Learning in a classroom instead of on a computer screen positively impacted my academic experience. I was able to continue working towards my business degree in a motivating environment.”
How has HPU’s inspiring environment contributed to your success?
“HPU’s emphasis on life skills allowed me to learn many important lessons during my four years on campus. I was able to practice all that I learned in HPU’s learning labs instead of implementing these skills for the first time in my post-graduate job.”
Advice for underclassmen:
“Take advantage of every networking event, career fair, speaker series and other events put on by the Office of Career and Professional Development. You never know what type of opportunity it might lead to.”
