Post-graduation plans: Wright joins David’s Bridal as a stylist, where she recommends bridal gowns based on each customer’s body type and personal taste. She also styles bridal looks with jewelry, veils, gloves and headpieces.
How HPU helped you get there:
“Everyone at HPU wants to see you succeed. HPU’s inspiring environment encouraged me to achieve my goals. The Office of Career and Professional Development was incredibly helpful and showed me how to search for internships and jobs. They worked with me on my resume and cover letter so that I was prepared to apply for jobs. The entire staff always had a positive attitude. HPU taught me to always have an open mind and to use every experience as a life lesson.”
Most impactful moment at HPU:
“My most impactful moment at HPU was seeing all my hard work pay off when I graduated. It was extremely rewarding. Now, I am using the skills I learned and working in my field of expertise.”
What are the values and virtues HPU’s campus helped you develop that you’ll take with you after graduation?
“HPU taught me to never give up. You will face challenges along the way, but you will learn from them. It’s important to keep setting new goals to push yourself to achieve more.”
Advice for underclassmen:
“Don’t stress about finding a job or internship. Take your time and you will find the right one for you. Your first job after graduation might not be your perfect fit, but remember that it’s an important step in your professional journey.”
