HIGH POINT, N.C., July 15, 2024 – High Point University’s all-star lineup of global leaders in the Access to Innovators Program continues to expand with the addition of Shep Hyken, a world-renowned customer service and customer experience expert, award-winning keynote speaker and bestselling author. He will mentor students as HPU’s Customer Experience Expert in Residence.
“HPU’s Access to Innovators Program welcomes some of the country’s top minds to mentor and share their insights with our students,” said HPU President Nido Qubein. “Shep’s business knowledge and passion as a customer experience expert will help propel HPU students toward success and significance as they build their professional careers.”
Hyken founded Shepard Presentations, LLC in 1983 to help companies develop loyal relationships with their customers and employees. He joined the board of directors of the National Speakers Association in 2005. The association inducted him into its Hall of Fame for Lifetime Achievement in 2008, and he served as its president from 2014-2015.
Since 2018, Hyken has been an advisory board member for Customer Contact Week, the world’s largest customer contact event series. He has written eight books about customer service and customer experience, and his books have appeared on the New York Times and Wall Street Journal bestselling lists. He also gives presentations that focus on customer service, customer loyalty, internal customer service and customer experience. Hyken’s online training topics help businesses create and sustain a corporate culture that values relationship-building with both external and internal customers.
