Hometown: Charlotte, North Carolina
Major: B.S. Interior Design
Post-graduation plans: Azriel is starting her career as a Design Project Manager for CBI Workplace Solutions in Charlotte, North Carolina. She began her interior design career in June as a Design Product Manager, a role in which she provides furniture selections that aid in representing a company’s brand and office culture. Azriel’s main client is Bank of America, and she provides furniture for their executive offices on the East Coast.
How HPU helped you get there: “The design program and its professors prepared me by giving me a realistic workload and teaching me the skills to manage myself and work alongside others.”
Most impactful mentor at HPU: “Brandon Jones, instructor of home furnishings and interior design, and Professor Gary Inman, assistant professor of the practice of interior design are my two most impactful mentors at HPU.”
Most impactful moment at HPU: “My most impactful moment at HPU was just simply learning my worth ethic and having a certain expectation set for me.”
What are the values and virtues HPU’s campus helped you develop that you’ll take with you after graduation? “I take pride in my surroundings, and that allows me to realize positive environments.”
Advice for underclassmen: “Be persistent and determined. Have a goal set and keep going for it. There is something out there for everyone so find it.”
