HIGH POINT, N.C., Dec. 4, 2024 – Rebecca Linder, founder and chief visionary officer of Linder Global Enterprises, has joined High Point University’s Access to Innovators program as Executive in Residence.
An entrepreneur and innovator in the global event industry, Linder oversees Linder Global Enterprises, which encompasses Linder Global Events, Linder Consulting and Linder Live. Based in Washington, D.C., Linder Global Events has partnered with Fortune 100 companies and large nonprofit organizations to host high-profile events in the nation’s capitol. Her clients include CNN, the Smithsonian Institution, the International Atomic Energy Agency and the National Museum of African American History and Culture.
“I am truly honored to partner with the transformative Innovators Program at High Point University,” Linder said. “This remarkable opportunity allows me to engage with exceptional students and educators, sharing insights from my professional journey while fostering enriching mentorship experiences.”
With more than 30 years of visionary leadership, Linder has used her passion for strategic convening, cutting-edge design and seamless production to stand out in the global event industry. She is also a distinguished speaker, educator and champion for change, particularly in regard to women’s empowerment and entrepreneurial innovation.
In 2018, Linder was named to the Washington Business Journal’s list of “Women Who Mean Business.”
“HPU is grateful to have Rebecca Linder share her talents as a groundbreaking entrepreneur and global events leader with our students,” HPU President Nido Qubein said. “She has built an extremely successful company, and our students will gain valuable insights from her as they look to make their own mark on the world.”
After graduating with a bachelor’s degree in political science and government, Linder determined that a high-end event planning agency was needed in Washington following her stints in acting and catering. In 1996, she founded Linder Global Events, a minority, woman-owned agency, to help clients inspire their audiences while amplifying their messaging.
Under her leadership, Linder Global Events partnered with the Smithsonian’s National Air and Space Museum on an event celebrating the 50th anniversary of the historic landing of the Apollo 11 on the moon. The agency has also managed events for Washington’s famed National Cherry Blossom Festival since 2008.
